💡 Good to Know

Some sections of the Uluru base are closed to photography for cultural reasons — the guide will indicate where this applies, and it's genuinely important to respect these restrictions rather than assuming they're optional. Temperatures at sunrise can be surprisingly cold even in a hot destination, so bring a warm layer for the early start.

FAQs

Does this cover the full base walk?

No — this tour covers key sections of the base track with guided commentary, not the complete 10.6km loop, which takes about 3.5 hours on its own.

Why are some areas closed to photography?

Certain sites hold specific cultural and spiritual significance to the Anangu people, who have requested no photography there — the guide will point these out clearly.

How cold is it at sunrise?

It can drop below 10°C even when the day will later reach 30°C+ — bring a jacket for the start of the tour.
